We focus on same-day care for illnesses, injuries, and other non-routine concerns that just can’t wait.

Our goal is to provide your pets with the care they need quickly and compassionately, right here in your community. In addition to our new urgent care center, we continue to offer monthly mobile veterinary services for existing clients who prefer care at home. Existing mobile vet client? Don’t worry, we are still offering these services once a month.

Dr. Lanie Yacovone
Owner and Veterinarian

Meet Dr. Lanie Yacovone

Dr. Lanie Yacovone, DVM, PhD is a dedicated veterinarian with deep roots in both science and community care. Raised in South Florida, Dr. Lanie earned her bachelor’s degree in Microbiology. She then pursued her PhD in Biochemistry at Wake Forest University, blending a strong academic foundation with her passion for animal health. Dr. Lanie received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida.

After years of providing compassionate care through her mobile veterinary service, Dr. Lanie is proud to open Westlake Veterinary Urgent Care right in the heart of her local Westlake community. Dr. Lanie will still provide mobile veterinary services for existing clients offering accessible, stress-free care for pets in their home environments, and now expands that mission to a space with the same dedication to comfort, compassion, and high-quality care.

Whether at your doorstep or in the urgent care center, Dr. Lanie is committed to treating your pets like family. When she’s not seeing patients, she’s a proud mom to both two cats and a small human and has helped with relief work with general practice veterinarians and local emergency veterinary hospitals in the area.
